Três Corações / MG – On August 10, 2019, the NCO Academy held the Sergeant Max Wolf Filho Saber Award Parade. At this Parade, for the first time in the Brazilian Army, the Bayonet Saber Rifle Mauser 1908 was awarded to the students of the 2018/19 NCO Training Course. The Saber resembles that one worn by Sergeant Max Wolf Filho during the 1930 and 1932 Revolutions and resembles that worn in the NCO Academy gala uniform in 1894. The Max Wolf Saber will be considered the greatest symbol of military honor for representing the courage, patriotism and love for the profession, military values evidenced by Sergeant Max Wolf Filho and many other heroes of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force.

During the ceremony, the 584 students of the NCO Academy and the 21 students of the Army Aviation Instruction Center (CIAvEx) were wearing their gala uniform, which will now be worn at ceremonies, parades and military events in Brazil and abroad.

The nieces of Sergeant Max Wolf Son, Mesdames Dorothy Szeremeta and Dulcemar Szeremeta brightened up the parade with their presence.The ceremony was presidede over by the Vice-President of the Republic Antônio Hamilton Martins Mourão.

The ceremony wasl also attended by Army General Luis Eduardo Ramos, Minister of State; HIs Excellency Mr. Hélio Fernando Barbosa Lopes, Federal Deputy; Army General Julio Cesar Arruda, Eastern Military Commander (CML); Army General Tomás Miguel Miné Ribeiro Paiva, Head of the Army's Department of Education and Culture (DECEx); Army General Luiz Edmundo Maia de Carvalho, former member of the Army High Command; Jarbas Bueno da Costa, former ESA Student and Commander and former member of the Army High Command; the Honorable Minister João Otávio de Noronha, President of the Superior Court of Justice; Lieutenant General Altair José Polsin, Commander of the 4th Military Region; Lieutenant General Vinícius Ferreira Martinelli, Director of Military Technical Education; Major General Reynaldo Paim Sampaio, Former Commander of ESA; Major General Carlos Waldir Aguiar, Army Aviation Commander; Major General Adilson Giovani Quint, Commander of the NCO Academy, as well as civilian and military officials and guests.
